Vintage Apex Japan Purple Lusterware Floral Teapot

Beautiful vintage individual-size porcelain teapot attributed to Apex Quality Japan, featuring a striking iridescent purple luster finish, colorful floral bouquets and delicate gold gilt accents.

The purple luster has a wonderful pearlescent quality that changes with the light, while pink roses, blue and purple flowers and greenery decorate both sides. Delicate gold floral branches, gold detailing on the spout and handle, and matching purple luster on the lid and base complete the design.

This petite teapot is just the right size for an individual serving and is especially pretty for display with vintage china, lusterware or tea collectibles.

The original maker's label is no longer present. This piece is attributed to Apex Quality Japan based on matching examples found with the original Apex Quality Japan foil label.

🪻Measurements: (Approx)
Teapot: 3½" tall × 6¼" long including handle
Lid: 1¾" tall × 2¼" wide

🪻Condition:
Wonderful vintage condition with no chips or cracks and no noticeable wear. Gold, floral decoration and iridescent luster remain beautifully preserved. There is a small manufacturing irregularity on the lid within the purple luster area. Upon close inspection, it appears consistent with a production/glaze flaw rather than later damage.
