Charming vintage Fire-King Oven Ware loaf or refrigerator dish featuring the colorful Gay Fad Fruit pattern.
Made in the USA during the 1950s, this white milk glass dish is decorated with hand-painted fruit, leaves and trailing vines. The bright yellow peach or apricot and green leaves give it wonderful mid-century kitchen charm.
The Gay Fad decoration was associated with Gay Fad Studios, founded by designer Fran Taylor, and was hand painted onto glassware produced by makers including Fire-King.
A wonderful piece for a Fire-King collection, vintage kitchen display, cottage kitchen, or mid-century décor.

Wonderful vintage condition with no chips or cracks. There is one scratch on the interior, as shown in the photos. The original hand-painted fruit decoration has considerable age-related wear and paint loss, particularly to portions of the fruit and vine design. The remaining yellow fruit and green foliage are still bright and attractive. (See photos for more detail)
